The Blood Iron War (oct 1, 1177 – aug 15, 1201)

Description:

TOTAL/EXTREME
Also known as the War of Sons. The Blood Iron War was a war waged between the three sons of Late Anskew Karmen of Oipientia.
(Also known as the Fourth Oipientian Civil War)

Helaňëṡa Karmen claimed the Oipientian throne based on a false promise made by Anskew to him. He was supported by the Western Oipientian lords and formed the Kingdom of Sovapenta.

Halder Karmen claimed the throne based on the same kind of premise as his brother as well as his rivalry towards Kaeserëlar. He had the support of the Southern Lords, most notably House Velkmen. He formed the Kingdom of Ipapenta

The war lasted for over two decades as all three held strong defenses and strong offensives. Kaeserëlar attacked first against Halder, but eventually his Southern Campaign stalled, prompting him to switch focus onto Sovapenta. Eventually, Helaňëṡa fell and though he surrendered, Kaeserëlar still struck him down by initiating King's Judgement (Ṡvinaracĩ Nakalínt). After his death, Sovapenta collapsed and rejoined Oipientia. With this added strength, Kaeserëlar went all out against his youngest brother Halder. The next three years were extremely gruesome, resulting in thousands of deaths as both sides held great contention. The war concluded with the deaths of both Kaeserëlar and Halder during the Battle of Abav Field where they dealt lethal blows to each other. Afterwards, Halder's son, Jëtolar Karmen, took the throne and reunified the Kingdom.
