Description:
The Battle of Monte Cassino was a series of four assaults by the Allies against the Winter Line in Italy held by German forces. The allies captured Monte Cassino resulting in over 55,000 allied casualties. Meanwhile, the Germans only suffered around 20,000 casualties.
