The Turtle Bayou Resolutions (jan 1, 1832 – dec 31, 1832)
Description:
The Americans attacking Anahuac garrison had to retreat to Turtle Bayou. At the same time in Mexico General Antonio Lopez de Santa Anna started a revolution against the current president of Mexico. The Americans in Turtle Bayou then passed the Turtle Bayou Resolutions declaring their loyalty to Santa Anna and state they attacked the garrison to support Santa Anna. The additional troops that Bradburn requested from Mexico were also Santa Anna supporters. Bradburn is relieved of command and Travis and Jack are freed.Added to timeline:
