Mier y Teran Report (jan 1, 1829 – dec 31, 1829)
Description:
Mexican government sent general Mier y Teran to investigate the loyalty status of the people living in Texas. The report found majority of the people in Texas were from the United States and did not follow Mexican customs and Catholic religion. The report recommended sending troops, more settlers from Europe and Mexico and less trade with the United States.Added to timeline:
