Fredonian Rebellion (jan 1, 1826 – dec 31, 1826)
Description:
Haden Edwards tried to settle in Texas. Mexican government took away his contract because he was charging the "old settlers" for their land. He rebelled by creating the Republic of Fredonia. They issued the Fredonian Declaration of Independence on December 21, 1826. it was short lived but the impact was great.Added to timeline:
