Wannsee Conference (jan 20, 1942 – jan 20, 1942)

Description:

The Wannsee Conference was the meeting of senior government officials of Nazi Germany and Schutzstaffel leaders to discuss the "Final Solution of the Jewish Question". This took place in Wannsee, Berlin. The conference was to tell leaders of government departments that dealt with Jews, that Reinhard Heydrich had been put in charge of the FSOTJQ. Heydrich presented a plan for removing the Jewish population of Europe and French North Africa to German-occupied areas in eastern Europe and eliminate them. During the meeting, the officials came up with the idea of Concentration Camps as it was the simplest way to kill them. This was also a turning point as it started the Holocausst.
