The 18th century (jan 1, 1701 – dec 30, 1800)
Description:
Women fashion did not change for the upper class much; however, the hair style was a pampadour. This was inspired by Mademe De Pampadour.
Men wore a suit coat and no longer wore the powdered wig.
French commoners rebelled against the extravagance of the wealthy and began wearing loose, flowing muslin dresses based on classical Greek garments.
Women began to carry purses and hair was in soft ringlets.
