Raf Simons was encouraged by Linda Loppa who was Head Of The Fashion Department Of The Antwerp Royal Academy and now, director of the Italian fashion school, Polimoda to start his own menswear label.It was during 1995 that he became a self-trained designer debuting his first menswear collection presented through a 8mm video film format, featuring two street models in the presentation.
