Yalta Conference (feb 4, 1945 – feb 11, 1945)

Description:

British prime minister Winston Churchill, American president Franklin D. Roosevelt, and Soviet premier Joseph Stalin meet to discuss post-war actions. Topics discussed were the divided ownership of areas in Germany by the three allies and France, the creation of the United Nations, war reparations, abolishment of German military industry, and how to deal with defeated countries of eastern Europe. The Yalta Conference is most closely related to the sphere of influence concept because the three superpowers were planning to gain significant military and economic domination over eastern Europe.
