The french revolution ended the French monarchy. The third estate established a national assembly which introduced the declaration of rights of man but would later result in the reign of terror and absolute chaos. The leaders of the french revolution in the momentum of getting France out of an authoritarian regime would not realize that they have lead it to another. The revolution ended when the french consulate was introduced which would be lead by Napoleon. Although without ease and consistency the french revolution would change many things in France, most importantly the introduction of the ideas of individualism and liberalism.

The french revolution was highly influenced by the Enlightenment period which introduced ideas about reason over faith and encouraged to question, why things are the way they are and should they be they way they are. Leaders of the french revolution spread these ideas to the entire population. The Declaration of the Rights of Man and of Citizen based upon principles of liberalism spread these ideas to the society. This revolution although chaotic and unfair in some ways made a clear statement that that liberalism and individualism in society is ought to be respected.
