Adams-Onis Treaty (feb 22, 1821 – apr 14, 1903)

Description:

John Quincy Adams will buy Florida from Spain.
Napoleon gave up the Louisiana territories because they wanted more money and they had problems trying to control it from over land.
In 1819, we purchase modern Florida from Spain. Spain will rapidly lose their massive empire because they don’t stop the revolutions.
We now have the Atlantic seaboard and we will now set our eyes towards the west.
How do we move towards the west?
We will give the panhandle of Texas back to Spain.
