Description:
John Calvin is known for his role in the religious sect of Calvinism. He reformed many cities but most widely known, Geneva. Geneva adopted the ecclesiastical ordinance (c. 1541). The church government used laymen and clergy. The city of Geneva was known for its strong adherence to Calvinism.
