Louis XIII and Cardinal Richelieu (jan 25, 1624 – may 2, 1642)
Description:
Louis XIII was the monarch of France, but Cardinal Richelieu governed the kingdom of France. Richelieu ended the revolt of the French nobility by destroying castle of defiant lords weakening the nobility towards an absolute monarchy. He started the change in the government of France.
