Pico della Mirandola (jun 27, 1463 – aug 19, 1494)
Description:
Pico della Mirandola was an Italian humanist whose most famous work was Oration on the Dignity of Man, in which he discussed human potential and the free will bestowed upon man by God. Mirandola championed humankind, an idea that was widespread throughout the humanist world and was growing increasingly popular in Renaissance Italy, in his writing, which is why he fits in the OS theme.
