Pico della Mirandola (jul 27, 1463 – jul 12, 1494)

Description:

Mirandola was an Italian scholar and Platonist philosopher who wrote "The Oration on the Dignity of Man" which was a humanist masterpiece. This work argued against the belief up until then that humans had no dignity and were evil by nature and made points about how humans were all equal, as well as capable of greatness by themselves. Through this book and his works he spread humanism as well as the belief in humans as having a naturally good nature, which is why he is classified as OS.
