Louis XIII and Cardinal Richelieu (may 2, 1585 – nov 27, 1642)
Description:
Louis was too young to rule when he was supposed to come into power. Cardinal Richelieu stepped in and greatly influenced France. He laid the foundations for an absolue monarchy in France. He lowered the power of the nobility and set up a bug navy and army. By the time of the end of his reign he influenced and helped France so much that France was one of the most prosperous nations in Europe.
