Louis XIII and Cardinal Richelieu (sep 9, 1585 – may 14, 1643)
Description:
Louis was the king of France from 1610 to 1643, but the minister, Cardinal Richelieu, was really in charge. Richelieu took all the power the nobles had in governing France. Richelieu is the reason Loius XIV was an absolute monarch.
