Nicolas Copernicus (dec 17, 1473 – feb 8, 1543)
Description:
OS- He wrote "On the Revolutions of the Heavenly Spheres" in which he explained his heliocentric (sun centered) theory, which correctly refuted some of Aristotle/Ptolemy's theories. He was one of the first astrologists to correctly explain the solar system, and though he wasn't accepted in the beginning, his theories proved to be correct and extremely influential in laying the foundation of astronomy for years to come. This was objective because he found new evidence to change people's views in astronomy, but he can also be viewed as subjective because he was spreading his views.
