Petrarch (jul 20, 1302 – jul 19, 1347)
Description:
One of the earliest humanists, in Renaissance Italy. He rediscovered Cicero's letters, and he is often credited with initiating the Renaissance in the fourteenth century. He is considered the founder of Humanism.
