INDUSTRIAL REVOLUTION (jan 1, 1760 – jan 1, 1840)

Description:

The Industrial Revolution was a time of transition in 1760-1840 which new manufacturing processes began to be in use. This included the change from manual methods to machines, the use of chemicals and iron in processes, and the use of steam power. Texitles were now in use which was cotton spinning that could be powered by steam or water. This sped up production faster than any workers could. Steam power revolutionized transportation with the use of the steam engine. This time period also brought on many challenges about the roles of workers and led to future laws protecting those who worked in factories and with these new technologies.
