English Civil War (apr 15, 1642 – jan 22, 1651)

Description:

This war was similar to a testing phase, trying to find the perfect balance between the monarch and its parliament. Charles I was a very strong believer in the divine rights of a king while parliament wanted to equally share the power with the monarch. The royalist and parliamentarians fought the war not only for France but for other countries needing a balance. Once William Orange takes the crown, England and other countries were able to find a balance between the monarch and parliament.
