Petrarch (jul 20, 1304 – jul 19, 1374)
Description:
Known as the founder of Humanism, Petrarch began the Renaissance that would lead to so many Medieval European values being redefined. His works in translating Cicero and other latin orators led to the reemergence of the value of knowledge that would lead to people challenging commonly accepted beliefs.
