Louis XIII and Cardinal Richelieu (sep 27, 1601 – feb 13, 1643)
Description:
King Louis XIII was the king of France and but was greatly advised by Cardinal Richelieu. Richelieu helped the king rule and managed to keep the people on his and the kings side, while stopping the nobles from overthrowing the king. Together they expanded their influence in both Europe and Overseas by means of conquest and brought in a new line of French Absolute monarchs.
