Description:
The English Civil War was between supporters of the monarchy of Charles I (and later his son Charles II) and opposing groups in England, Scotland, and Ireland. They happened because Charles I refused to agree with Parliament and he refused to accept their policies and their laws. This caused major distrust between the monarchy and Parliament and decreased the monarch's power.Added to timeline:
