Charles Richelieu and Louis XIII were deeply connected, with Cardinal Richelieu acting as the Chief Advisor for Louis XIII. His actions allowed Louis XIII to become one of the first absolute monarchs, and helped keep France from falling into ruins, especially during the 30 Years War.
