Council of Trent (aug 14, 1545 – apr 13, 1563)
Description:
It was brought together by Pope Paul III in hopes of helping push back the Protestant reformation. It was the biggest part of the Counter-Reformation, and was mainly in place to combat the German reformation with Luther. It didn't reach many places except the HRE because they weren't willing to compromise with the protestant churches.Added to timeline:
