John Calvin's Geneva (mar 3, 1541 – nov 3, 1549)
Description:
The council of Geneva passed the Ecclesiastical Ordinances which supported Calvin in Switzerland. It controlled the way that religion was preached in the country. Eventually the government contested the powers of the ordinances in 1543.Added to timeline:
