Ottoman Empire control over Constatinople (jan 1, 1453 – jan 1, 0)
Description:
The Christians viewed the Ottomans as the antithesis to their own values and traditions. They only saw the Ottomans as an empire driven by warfare. From the Ottoman's perspective it was different. In their eyes the seige liberated a city trapped under the Byzantines' control. This marked the end of the Byzantine Empire.
