Council of Trent (may 29, 1545 – dec 14, 1563)
Description:
The Council of Trent was held for the purpose of refining church doctrine and to condemn the Reformation. It ended with abolishing the sales of indulgences, as well as it created multiple decrees in which the council sought to find a compromise between the Catholics and the Protestants.
