Copernicus, Nicolas (sep 3, 1473 – sep 3, 1543)
Description:
Copernicus was a Polish mathematician and astronomer who was the first to propose the heliocentric solar system. This idea stated that the sun is at rest near the center of the universe and the Earth revolves around it annually and spins on its axis daily. Copernicus is grouped in OS due to his new intellectual idea presented to change future formations of knowledge.
