Description:
Men wore simple wool or linen tunics and long stocking.
Women wore tunics over long gowns.
Goatskin and sheepskin outer garments provided protection in cold weather.
Because nobility felt threatened when the middle class imitated upper class fashions, sumptuary laws were created.
