English Civil War (jan 26, 1642 – oct 13, 1651)

Description:

The English Civil War was the war between Charles I and parliament. Charles I did not agree with the little power that parliament was giving him and so he built up an army and declared war. This war resulted in the Execution of Charles I and the glorious revolution, which eventually led to the commonwealth of England to be established. This fits into the theme of States and Other Institutes of Power because its result ended withe England government to be completely changed and it was also a political issue.
