1350- 1454

In 1350, the Aztecs starting building the causeways with canals. By 1370, the death of Tenoch (religious ruler of the Mexica). The first king came into power, Tenochtitlan, Acamapichitli, from 1376-1395. In 1390, original construction of Templo Mayor beings in Tenochtitlan. The second king came into power, Tenochtitlan Huitzilihuitzli and creates an alliance with Tepaneca from 1395-1417. From 1417-1427, the third king was only able to reign for a short period due to his assassination by the Tepaneca. 1427-1427, a war with the Tepaneca. By 1430-1431, Azcapotzalco conquered and established the triple alliance between the Mexica, the acolhua in the city of texcoco and the tepaneca of Tlacopan. From 1427-1440, the fourth king came, Itzcoatl. 1452, Tenochtitlan severely damaged by flooding and by 1452-1454, famine in Tenochtitlan.
