Description:

Augustus was born on September 23, 63 B.C.E. , in Rome. His father died when he was four. The people who influenced him were his mother, Atia, who was the niece of the Roman leader Julius Caesar. Unlike Caesar, one of Rome's military heroes, Poor health troubled Augustus throughout his life. His mother, groomed him for the world of politics. By the age of sixteen, he was planning to join his great-uncle and serve in Caesar's army. Later, he died on August 19, 4 bc
