Copernicus, Nicolaus (oct 12, 1473 – nov 5, 1543)
Description:
Nicolaus Copernicus was a Renaissance mathematician and astronomer. He formulated a model of the universe that placed the Sun rather than the Earth at the center of the universe, also known as the Heliocentric Model. This model was an elabortation of a much earlier idea of the plants and their locations.
