Louis XIII & Cardinal Richelieu (sep 9, 1585 – dec 4, 1642)
Description:
King Louis did not have much influence over the state of France and used Cardinal Richelieu to do most of the operations. This included running the country, in the places of Louis XVIII, he was the president of the royal council of ministers, reshuffled the council so he could rule, divised intendants and the new rogue nobility, tore down the castles of nobles, seized military practices of Huguenots, and came to an alliance with the Lutheran king against the Habsburgs.
