Babylonian exile (dec 31, 587 BC – nov 7, 586 BC)
Description:
The southern kingdom, Judah, managed to stop the Assyrians' attack. However, they couldn't stop the Babylonians from conquering their kingdom. Babylonian then destroyed the First temple (Solomon's Temple) and forced Jews to leave their city. This is a serious cultural devastation, but Jews managed to keep their religion and tradition.
