Copernicus, Nicolas (feb 19, 1473 – may 21, 1543)
Description:
He was an astronomer who felt that the geocentric system was too complicated, this led him to create the heliocentric conception which was simpler and more accurate. This raised many questions regarding Aristotle's research. The objective knowledge (AP Theme) that he applied to his research regarding astronomy increased doubts on the Ptolemaic system, but most importantly this allowed scientists such as Galileo Galilei and Kepler to base their work on his prominent research.
