Description:

o Founded in Jerusalem
o In order to be a templar, had to have enough money to get armor, horse etc
 Donate property to the church to save their souls
o They no longer have a purpose anymore
o Templars were so embedded into France
o King was worried that they had a well organized, rich and powerful group
o French king and pope conspire so that the templars get banned
