Townshend Acts (jul 2, 1767 – apr 12, 1770)
Description:
The Townshend Acts of 1767 placed a tax on all good that were imported into the colonies. If someone was caught smuggling they'd be feathered. When someone was feathered, they'd have boiling hot tar spilled on them and then people would throw feathers at the person so they'd have feathers stuck onto their body.
