Petrarch was an Italian Renaissance poet and scholar and considered the Founder of Humanism. His works, along with Giovanni Boccaccio and Dante Alighieri were used as the foundation for the model of the modern Italian language. long-term importance was the humanism enlightenment that he taught and the effect he had on the modern itailian language
