Louis XIII and Cardinal Richeliue (sep 9, 1585 – may 14, 1643)
Description:
Louis XIII came into power at a young age, so his mother Marie de Medici took over the job of governing France along with Cardinal Richelieu until Louis became old enough. the long-term effect was Richelieu's goal to make France a great power, he advanced the ideas of absolutism which would later help Louis XIV, he attacked Huguenots and controlled foreign policy which resulted in raising more money.
