Germanicus the Elder's Northern War (may 2, 14 – mar 15, 30)
Description:
With much of lower Germania firmly under Rome's heel, Germanicus the Elder - one of the generals instrumental during Octavian's campaign in Germania - assembles ten legions with the intention of conquering the northern parts of the region - Jutland in particular - in the name of Caesar's heir and the current Princeps, Augustus Marcus Julius Caesar.
Eight years into his campaign, Marcus Julius Caesar steps down as Princeps. Shortly thereafter, the Senate unanimously elects Germanicus the new Princeps, who promptly delegates most of his principal duties to the senate in order to focus on finishing his military campaign in Germania.
