Louis XII and Cardinal Richelieu (apr 23, 1624 – oct 5, 1715)

Description:

Richelieu was Louis's chief minister and ruled for him when he was too young to do so himself. Richelieu wanted to eliminate the Huguenots and to make the monarch truly absolute. This was significant because he was able to keep all of the government in one spot and was able to contorol making polocies.
