Description:
Barclays bank was known overseas in the financial industry in the 1980s as 'Boerclaysbank', due to its continued involvement in South Africa during the apartheid regime. A student boycott, which began in its share of the UK student market from 27 percent to 15 percent by the time it pulled out in 1986.
