Louis XIII and Cardinal Richelieu (nov 10, 1624 – oct 11, 1642)
Description:
Cardinal Richelieu helped run the country while Louis XIII was in power, was the president of the royal council of minsters, he recreated the council so he could rule. During this time they formed intendants and the new robe nobility, destroyed the castles of nobles, stopped military practices of Huguenots, and allied with the Lutheran kings against the Habsburgs.
