Baldassare Castiglione (dec 6, 1478 – feb 2, 1529)
Description:
Baldassare Castiglione penned "The Courtier" (1528) which presented the etiquette and manner issues found in grand courts. It was written to reform aspects of their behavior and became a wildly popular essential for courts of European aristocrats. By having his own track of speaking out and attempting to reform a specific societal class, he made his own subjective vision of how royalty should behave come to light.
