30 Years' War (jan 16, 1618 – jan 18, 1648)
The 30 Years' War was fought generally in central Europe where it grew from local populations over conflict between Protestantism and Catholicism to enveloping most of Europe in a wide scale event over more of political/dominant power balance. This relates to the AP theme (SP) because it represents a period of complete chaos, socially and politically, in Europe, which would then lead to new nations rising from won religious freedom or independence, developing the geopolitical layout of Europe.
