Metacom's War (jun 1, 1675 – aug 1, 1676)
Description:
Metacom launches a surprise attack on the Puritan English colonies. The resulting war would be costlier per person (per capita) than any war the US government would later fight. Metacom and the Native tribes ultimately lost.
