Erwin Schrodinger (may 13, 1887 – dec 27, 1961)
Description:
A theoretical physicist that established the wave mechanics formulation of quantum mechanics, which portrayed electrons as waves, spread out rather than in any given location. Came up with wave equation for electron movements. The equation is used to find the allowed energy levels of quantum mechanical systems (such as atoms, or transistors). The associated wave function gives the probability of finding the particle at a certain position.
